Back in the fall, I fell in love with the idea to have an engagement session in a canoe and beside a campfire. I had been seeing so many beautiful pictures on Pinterest (good ol' Pinterest... it's a healthy obsession, I swear) of couples in canoes donned with flowers and I just had to make it happen.
I brought the idea to my Tuesday's Together chapter of The Rising Tide Society, to see who would be interested in helping with this styled shoot, and making it happen. Chantal was the first to respond and offer up her beautiful venue, canoe and floral arranging skills. From there, we found Erica for hair and makeup, Emma as a second photographer, and Cait was my designer and behind the scenes help. Chantal also mentioned that there was a fire pit at the venue, which prompted ideas of a campfire side engagement session as well - so we brought both ideas together and ended up with a gorgeous shoot!
My original couple fell through unfortunately, but thankfully Cait knew of the perfect couple for it! Stephanie and Chris are an amazing couple, who love the wilderness and each other even more. They're so happy, and it was infectious! I couldn't help smiling the whole shoot. The love they have for each other was so visible the whole time, and I was honoured to be able to capture it in photos. I couldn't be happier for them, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness and love!
